Into The Storm - VFX (2014)

While at MPC I worked on Into The Storm, a tornado disaster movie. The project involved a lot of rigid body dynamics and particles for the parts I worked on which mainly consisted of street debris being sucked into the tornado or blown around. These are a few of the shots I worked on.

Using CGI debris much of the work was tweaking the fields to carry the debris along in a natural manner while keeping it somewhat controllable.

It was important to keep the simulations working at a correct scale and speed to make the results believable.
