Man Of Steel - VFX (2013)

I had the opportunity to work on Man Of Steel at MPC as a FX artist. Here are some of the shots I worked on during that time. It was a very enjoyable project and one of the projects where I learned the most. This project was the very first feature film that I worked as a FX artist on and still to this day appreciate all the help from coworkers and leads that helped push my skills forward.

For this shot I was responsible for adding in the thrusters as well as some of the localized dust under the bottom thrusters showing interaction with the ground.

Here is another example of thrusters attached to the ship. The thrusters were animated and the curves were transferred over to the fx to show increase and decrease in throttle, and movement in the pitch and yaw of the thrusters.

I also had the opportunity to create a sparks fx rig that was to be used throughout the movie for various effects like the one shown above.
